Privacy Policy

Who we are

Grace Henley Photography is a beauty and editorial photography studio based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Our website is gracehenleyphotography.com.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus limited technical information collected automatically.

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number, if you provide one
• the type of session or project you are enquiring about
• your preferred booking date, if you provide one
• how you heard about us
• anything you write in the message field

Automatically, when you visit the site, we collect standard technical information such as your approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through Google Analytics and is not used to identify you personally.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to quote for and deliver photography work, and to keep records of the work we have done. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically asked to hear from us.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects usage data on our behalf. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, without affecting your ability to use this site.

We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers we need to run the business:

• SiteGround — our website host, which stores the site and its data
• Google — for analytics, and for the email account that receives and stores your enquiry
• Our booking and invoicing systems — if your enquiry becomes a booking

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia. By sending us an enquiry, you consent to your information being handled this way.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the work, and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it, unless we are required to keep it.

Photographs of you

If we photograph you, the images are personal information as well as creative work. We will not publish, licence or use images of you for promotion without your permission. Where permission is needed, we ask for it in writing before the session or at the time of booking.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@gracehenleyphotography.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify who you are first.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first at hello@gracehenleyphotography.com so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to enquiry records is limited to people who need it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.

Copyright in the images and text

All photographs, text and design on this site are the copyright of Grace Henley Photography unless stated otherwise. You may view and share links to the site, but you may not copy, reproduce, crop, edit, re-post or use any image or text for any purpose without our written permission. This includes use in mood boards, training datasets, and commercial or promotional material.

Using this site

You agree not to use this site in any way that is unlawful, or that interferes with its operation or with anyone else’s use of it.

Accuracy

We keep the information on this site as accurate and current as we can, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free. Prices, availability and service descriptions may change.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, including social media. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any site we link to.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Bookings

These terms cover your use of this website only. Terms for photography sessions and commissions — including quotes, deposits, scheduling, cancellation, image licensing and delivery — are provided separately at the time of booking and form the agreement for that work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
